Day Two of the Novena

Today is the second day of the Novena to Her Most Majestic Highness, the Venerable Servant of God Queen Isabel I of Castile. Each individual daily prayer is preceded by the Novena prayer, which I just realized for some reason isn't appearing on my blog??? I have no idea why and I deeply apologize; I know I posted it yesterday, I wonder why it isn't there. Anyway, I'm frightfully sorry, so I will post it here as well.
Novena to Her Most Majestic Highness,
The Venerable Servant of God
Queen Isabel the Catholic of Castile

Novena Prayer

O God, who did see fit to place Queen Isabel upon the throne of Castile
And thereby give us a model of Christian piety and virtue in government,
We beseech You that, through your grace, we may imitate Isabel in our daily lives
And thereby become examples of virtue ourselves for our neighbors.
We also implore that you may grant this request (state intention) we make to you through the intercession of this holy and venerable Queen.
We ask all this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

The Novena Prayer is followed by two Hail Marys, in honor of Queen Isabel.

Isabel, Holy Queen of Spain and the Americas, pray for us.
Day Two – Crusading Queen

O purest Isabel, who through your angelic virtue was made worthy to be elevated to rule over a united Spain, we humbly beseech your intercession. O glorious Queen, who did drive out the usurping non-believers and establish a holy, pure and Catholic government, we come before you and ask that you give us the courage to stand up for the Truth in our lives. We implore you to give this courage to our government leaders as well, so that they might follow your splendorous example in their own policies.
We further ask of you, Queen of Spain and the New World that you might intercede for us in the intention of this novena… (state intention). We implore you to hear our pray and obtain these intentions for us from our Lord Jesus Christ, the One True God whom you so faithfully served during your life.

Isabel, Holy Queen of Spain and the Americas, pray for us.
